In addition to beautiful flowers and their favorite botanical materials, freshdesign credits collaboration as the key to successful wedding design.   “After meeting with a bride or a couple to discuss their wedding vision, Kristin, Mary and I sit down together to work through a fresh set of design possibilities for them” freshdesign owner Sue Shunta says.   Mary Gamache and Kristin Crain are the lead designers responsible for bringing these possibilities to life.    The ideas are presented to the couple for input, comments and modification.  The end result is a custom suite of flower designs: bouquets, personal flowers, centerpieces and accent designs created uniquely for freshdesign’s clients. 

When asked about their preferred design aesthetic the three women agree on a simple, modern look with an emphasis on texture, color and clean lines.  “This approach is surprisingly versatile. When designing within these parameters we have created English garden, contemporary and over-the-top-lush designs.” Sue adds. 

While gorgeous wedding flowers are obviously the top priority, the freshdesign team believes the process itself should be given careful consideration.   After moving into their downtown studio last year, the three women were determined to create an inviting space for their guests.  “Hopefully our studio is a place where brides and couples can relax and feel welcome as we work together.   If so, the creativity will come naturally.”   Pay freshdesign a visit and you too may be inspired.
